Guitar Hero II10

Absolutely loved every moment, that's not true actually, half the time I was livid but I always came back to the little plastic guitar. This got me hooked and I now play guitar too.

Honestly? I looked forward to and then hated this game, I adored guitar hero and played til I beat everything and I also play guitar. I found the mini-games to be somewhat self-defeating, I figured this would be a big part of the game since alot of playing guitar is about basic practise, but instead most of the games practised skills that wouldn't actually help a guitarist. The auto-difficulty changer wasn't for me either personally, I liked the star system in GH, I could try to get everything in 5 star, fail then try over and over, then do it all again in normal, hard and expert. The almightily **** thing in the game is the song choices though, not alot of rock, or metal, or punk, just alot of half-hearted stuff inbeetween pop and country, I know this is made by a totally different bunch of people but they made this as a carry on of GH. I could get all of the information provided by the game from the internet for free and with advice from proffessional tutors, something you don't get in the game. The one great thing about the game is the amp that allows you to put effects on, I was surprised and impressed with the sound and variety I could get out of that little disk. But I can get that on the internet for free too unfortunately.

DmC: Devil May Cry7

In my opinion a good game. I grew tired of the devil may cry series when no.4 came out despite being a huge fan of 1 and 3. This game seems to be different to many of the other devil may cry games in the battles, locations and most noticeably the characters. The game is alot darker but more modern (not a haunted castle in sight, which while it was cool gets abit old). The huge difference is Dante himself, while he's had many changes in personality over the years this is possibly the biggest, he's basically a incredibly cruel guy in almost every aspect, in the beginning he shows this cruel side to everyone, including his allies. By the end of the game he is even harsher in some ways but shows some small shame for the things he does to his enemies. I wouldn't put this in the same series as the other DMC to be honest. It's an entirely new one so old fans will definitely hate it.

As nearly always a good game from Square Enix yet again. Not a masterpiece like some of their games but a decent game nonetheless. Storyline, music and graphics were all up to par. Battles were good although it could sometimes feel abit repetitive with mostly 2 characters. But with 2 main characters the story progressed quickly without going off on too many tangents. A good solid game that's worth what I paid for it in my book.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope0

I bought this game because I like Square Enix and loved til the end of time. But this game really really ****. The battles felt wooden and boring, the storyline was so terrible I can't even remember how it ended. But the really really terrible thing was the characters, they only had 2 facial expressions, inexpressive mask and ridiculously over the top. Instead of the characters looking sad when they were meant to, they looked comical. I'm just going to put this game away and try to pretend it ended with "Til the end of time"
