This is not , true- although, several of the anecdotes are based on the experiences of real, inner city vicars. You watch key figure Tom Hollander as he exists in a (London) parish. It's a bit like someone telling you 'a funny thing happened to me today at work.' Did it? It's not made with a huge amount of care. And it's a tough one- but it's just not very inspiring to watch someone not do any work- in my overstated opinion. The series is called Rev, the main point seems to be, he's 'one of us'- drinks, smokes, gets it wrong at parties. Sorry- but I think that's actually quite pernicious... Like 'the peace pipe'... On the surface, you're being peaceful. Underneath, you've been forced into doing something , because that's what people do. You're only trustworthy, if (you smoke and drink) - that's how it gets you. In your need to be trusted. But personally, I am at a stage of life when I have had enough of 'charisma' in general. Cuaresma, instead, possibly.
