By the time the episode wraps up with a good-vs.-evil clash, though, it's really rolling, with special effects that are both fun and scary. Charmed has an entertaining little way about it, with Spelling and company mostly striking a solid balance between escapist slap-schtick and mild horror. If the opening hour isn't terribly concerned with issues of believability, relatability and self-parody (pilot is notably short on humor), it's likely a saucy enough brew for the WB's target 12-24 demo to swallow. Simply love it. I used to watch it as a child and now rewatching it as an adult feels so good. This series is the only think that keeps me sane during Canadian winter.

Love this show! Superb cast, acting, special effects and well written plots. Also very believable characters as sisters and as witches and the other characters as well. The spells in this charming, enchanting and magical series are well thought out. This TV show ran for 8 season with very high ratings. If you haven't watched the original Charmed TV series I highly recommend it. You'll be spellbound. :)
