Murder Party

This is how to do a horror comedy! Normally I give long winded reviews but the more time you have to spend reading this would be a waste, just see it.

This is a fun little Halloween horror comedy. It's way too pleased with itself in its take-down of the hipster New York art scene. There's plenty of humor mined from it, but it also feels self-congratulatory, like the act of doing it is in and of itself transcendent and profoundly funny instead of any astute observations or depth. Still, it's mostly a good time. In particular, the main character and his woeful Halloween costume are a treat.

This film is a really odd roller coaster but I kind of like it and it's one of the better horror comedy.
