Krueger's comedy doesn't always spark, but its underlying intelligence - not to mention Graham's eyes - shines through.

New York Daily News
Graham is lots of fun to watch, but it's hard to reconcile the split halves of her character.

Los Angeles Times
With its capacity to surprise, the film comes to life when you don't expect it to, in tiny but wonderfully off-center moments.

TV Guide Magazine
But one can only imagine how different the film might have been with, say, Parker Posey or Catherine Keener -- truly funky actresses with some real edge -- in the lead.

Entertainment Weekly
An inert screwball cartoon, a celebration of monogamy as fashion statement.

Until it backs itself into a narrative corner, Lisa Krueger's Committed is a delightfully unpredictable experience.

Afailed attempt at a hipster screwball comedy. Very failed.

A friend of mine recommended me this movie, and I was skeptical at first because I have not heard of it, not once in my lifetime. At first you see that this movie is not a comedy (as the fact that "The Martian" isn't as well). Second, you see how many famous faces you will see Casey Affleck, Goran Visnjic, Heather Graham, Luke Wilson and Mark Ruffalo in one place. The screwball comedy moment becomes secondary if you start watching the movie home alone, with a sharp mind tuned to these things...

This film is not funny. Definitely mis-categorized as a comedy. It's more like a quirky, alternative film. The ending is a bit of a fizzle rather than a bang which is what it really needed but the storyline itself is interesting. It's funny in a quirky way rather than a haha way and definitely worth watching.
